Guar Gum
It is a natural polysaccharide (long chain of carbohydrate molecules) derived from the endosperm of the seeds of the guar plant (Cyamopsis tetragonolobus), a legume primarily grown in India, Pakistan, the US, and Australia. It is used as a viscosifier in fracturing fluids to carry proppant (sand) deep into rock fractures.
